A few thoughts from Capstone... :)

Just was putting away a few papers from Capstone and came across this final paper...what great advice!! Capstone...AMAZING!!
Little Things to Remember
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better them himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:3-5)
"Give me a hand when I've lost the way
Give me your shoulder to cry on
Whether the day is bright or gray
Give me your heart to rely on
Send me the warmth of a secret smile
To show me you haven't forgot
That always and ever, now and forever
Little things mean a lot."
Little Keys to Success
1. Humility v.s. Pride
2. Service v.s. Self
3. Integrity v.s. Situational Ethics
4. Team player v.s. Lone Wolf
5. Mind the mission; not the man
6. Do hard things; take risks; keep growing; never shirk duty
7. Read, read, read
8. Start young, run hard, bear much fruit, finish strong
Little Points to Ponder
-Decisions determine destinations
-Decisions are vital---are influences are tied up in them
- All that we say, all that we do, who we are, and how we serve reflect decisions and are the foundations for our influence
- Our influence under-girds our fruitfulness and are are accountable to God for it
- With morality there are moments of pleasure and lifetimes of regret
- Draw your lines in the sand during moments of sober reflection
- Behind every smiling face there is a melodrama somewhere
- Sometimes leadership and influence are most profoundly expressed in the quiet, fervent prayers of the faithful that the Holy Spirit will speak to the heart of another
-If people trust your heart they will more likely overlook your mistakes
- "IDOL" is a four letter word; avoid idols at all cost
Little things really do mean a lot!!
