We have been attempting to have Hannah try some different cellos and were never successful in convincing her to come along to the string store with us. Well, today Miriam had to meet a student's parent at "The Sound Post" near the University of Toronto campus and once again, I invited her to join us, and to our delight and surprise, she came along. She has told us that she doesn't want a new cello and that she "... loves her cute little guy ..." but today was different! She spent a good amount of time trying new (well, new to her) cellos and she actually brought one home !!! She is borrowing it for a week but has insisted that she will not decide quickly on a new "cute little guy" but will try many cellos before deciding if she even wants a better one!
This picture shows her with a whole room of "cute little guys" ... I'd have to say they are not very little in my estimation :) A cellist's dream come true!
