Hello all blog readers:)
I am finally back again after a couple busy months of course assignments and deadlines. What a delight to be free for a little while!
Anyhow, we just left the NCFIC conference this year that was focused on the Worship of God.
The many speakers pointed out the importance of the worship of God, and how vital it is to the family and the church. Continuous prayer, also is extremely important in the life of a Christian. How will we be able to know and mediate on our God and Savior if we only talk to Him at meals every day and maybe once more after that? To know someone intimately requires many hours of deep conversation not just a "chit-chat" every couple days.
We worship a mighty, sovereign and majestic God that requires a reverent spirit during worship from the people that He has redeemed. Not a half-hearted "thank-you", but a jubilant, joyous thanksgiving to Christ for His holy sacrifice.
We need to start worshiping God the way He desires us to in His Word; not the way we choose to. Worship is all about Him, not us.
