Sunday we went to my Papa's aunt and uncles(Zia Gina and Zio Tony)'s 50th wedding anniversary celebration at a banquet hall. I was able to bring my violin and Hannah brought her cello so we played for all our relatives. There were more than three hundred people!

Sarah quite happy after she realizes that she can read...

For a couple weeks now, Sarah has been learning to read. Her whole face lights up when she realizes that she can read words instead of pictures(even though that is fun too.)

I can remember clearly the day that Gabriel did the same. He was about four and asked my Mom is she could teach him how to read. "But you are reading," she answered him. "No..."he said, persisting further, "I want to read the words."

the littles with their first published works...

When we older children were younger, we used a program called "Come Sit By Me". It is a book of lessons that uses Canadian childrens books to study on. It is now the littles turn to use the program. Like I mentioned previously, each of us older children have to take turns spending time helping the littles keep busy and out of trouble.

So that is what we were up to this week:)
