Oops... I was looking through our "drafted" posts and came across this one that I COMPLETELY forgot to post!!!
Here it is in my past words:)
Hello All!
To continue my story from the other day, on Sunday, we met some dear friends and went out for lunch together at a quaint, little Italian restaurant. Very fun!
It was delightful to walk around afterwards... the city is so beautiful!
We also went to the Cheesecake factory for the first time. What a nice surprise! The food was delicious (but the servings were huge!).
On Tuesday, while we were on our way back from Washington, we set our GPS to take us on a "scenic route" :)
Well... that was not the best idea.
While we were driving through a very forested "highway" listening to and singing scripture songs suddenly a dog size animal jumped out in front of the truck. Papa swerved (there was no one on the road...:) but we all heard a crunch... Everyone became silent, "We just killed a baby deer".
Mama stated. Oh no! Everyone was horrified and sad. If you have ever killed an animal while driving, you should know how it feels... You just feel terrible.
We pulled over (with our friends behind us... They later told us that all they saw was something flying onto the opposite side of the road, followed by a cloud of hair which they drove through... Thankfully they had their windows closed:) Back to what I was writing, we pulled over just to check and make sure everything on the truck was fine... Everything was, other than a bent up licence plate and fur stuck everywhere.
So... That is our big story.
Afterwards, Grace (who was trying to figure everything out) asked "Hannah, what happened?"
I answered "Well Gracie, Papa just killed a baby deer." As soon as those words escaped my mouth, I regretted saying them. Her face looked very sad and immediately she started to ask Papa why; I then proceeded to tell her that it was a mistake, and that he couldn't have helped it... Little ones still don't understand the whole picture...
Here are some pictures from the drive.

The floor tiles at the restaurant were so artistic and beautiful!
The table next to ours.
Beautiful buildings.
Explanation: When we were walking back to the car from the restaurant, we had to cross a relatively busy street. Gabe was ahead of us and crossed before we had time to follow. Oh no! He was stuck by himself on the opposite side of the road. Just thought that it would make an interesting photo:)
Doesn't he look so small by himself?
Beautiful sunset!
Abby, Miriam, and Sofia at the Cheesecake factory.
Yum! Cheesecake, cheesecake, and more cheesecake
Having a break from driving on our way home.

It was amazing how many signs there were in Pennsylvania similar to this one!
The amazing scenery
One word explains this picture: BAD:)
The road where we hit the deer was very similar to this one.
There was many signs like this at the side of the road...
The sunset that we saw when we were driving home. Beautiful!
I am hoping to get my photos from every day posted soon!
Blessings,
Hannah Carolyn
