Today is Hannah's 12th birthday. Hannah...you are now a young lady. I hope that by God's grace, you will grow up into a Proverbs 31 woman.

Our cousins came over for the festivities.

The pinata you see pictured above is from a aunt's(somewhere in my Mom's family) anniversary fifteen years ago. Since then, the pinata has been hanging in our house and, we thought it so pretty that, we never used it. So, when Hannah's birthday came up, we all decieded to use it.

Our only problem was, the string the pinata, hung on, always broke when everyone hit it. So, after using at least three pieces of string, we decieded that Papa had to hold onto the pinata while everyone(except the parents and I) took a turn whacking it. (As you can see, Papa, was careful to keep his hands out of the way:)

I made Hannah's cake(she put an order for an ice cream cake.) The recipe for the cake was on Martha Stewart's website.
