Gabriel's Modern Painting

This week Gabriel created a painting with a modern artist. The artist was doing a workshop for the kids who have cancer in Sick Kids called "Paint Therapy". At first Gabe didn't want to paint but, he changed his mind when he realized how fun it was.

First, he picked a canvas (there were two sizes) and a "pallette" of colours which were pre-chosen by the artist. Then, he used a thick paintbrush to apply a generous coat of white paint onto the canvas.

After preparing the canvas with the white paint, the fun began! Gabe, (armed with syringes, spoons, rollers,
and other interesting objects) applied the colours he chose (blue and green) to the painting.
The finished product is pictured above (and to the left.) Doesn't his picture look professional? I think it is refered to as "abstract art".
