One of the chores Gabe enjoys doing around our house is "opening" our kitchen table for breakfast. He asked if he could do it today. This may seem strange however, this is a very strange table! It was my (Carolyn's) great-great-grandmother's table and it requires great skill to figure it out. You need to open the drawer a "bit" then proceed to lift the leaves and secure them with these funny boards under each leaf ... Gabriel just loves the challenge, and has often told me that when he grows up, he would like this table since he wants to teach his son the trick of "opening" the table up ... is that not cute?
