On the 9th of March I (Miriam) was asked to fill in as second violin in a quartet which was playing at the Toronto Convention Centre. I was given the repertoire a week before the performance, and there were only three practices. I was going to be playing for a fun raiser for women in mining and decided that the experience would be good for me. We played for an hour while the people talked and ate. After the performance, we went for a walk to where our car had been parked. As we were walking, Gracie having a great time, smiling and talking like crazy.
