Tonight our family had a Valentine's day tea party. We enjoyed lots of treats together with our Nanna and our dolls(Elsie, Violet, Kathleen, and Millie.) Hannah tried dancing with Gabriel after the tea party and he consented. Mama and Papa even danced a little bit, but we don't have that on camera. The worlds ideas about Valentine's day are primarily about lust and materialism. The Hallmark company tells us that we have to buy expensive greeting cards, chocolates, diamonds, roses, since this is the only way to show your love for someone. As Christians, we should celebrate Valentine's day as a remembrance of God's love for us. Especially as a young woman, we should ask God to hold our hearts in His hand until He finds the right young man for us. There are many amazing verses in the Bible which tell of God's love for us and how we are to love our neighbor as ourselves.
